Sun Valley’s ambition was to extend beyond their on-trade pub and bar heartland, to take a march on nut snacking in the out-of-home market.

The challenge and opportunity for us was clear, we had to exploit the lack of excitement within the category. A category that suffers from a lack of personality and charisma and was ripe for a new hungry entrant to come and shake up the status quo. In order to standout we needed to create a brand with attitude, a brand that people could go NUTS FOR!

We cracked this nut by developing a rebel brand inspired by British Punk, a brand that challenges the category blandness with its bold personality and surprising flavor mixes.

Under the roof of our upstart new nut brand, we developed a tantalizing and tongue-teasing range of nut treats that would knock the socks off your average unhealthy chocolate elevenses bar, and a gob-smackingly tasty range of savoury nuts to go with your pint.
